Course Description

This Course focuses on the prevention of future integrity loss for an oil or gas well. It introduces the concept of integrity management, which starts at the earliest stage of well.

Learning Objectives

Let you acquire knowledge of operating integrity as part of the Process Safety / Asset Integrity suite of subjects. Learning from incidents in the past form the wider industry, as well as your own company, you will be knowledgeable in identifying safety issues in operations which can translate into proposals. that can make a important difference.

Course Content

Process Safety / Asset Integrity principles, Bow tie and Barrier Models, Hazards & Risks, Critical Thinking, Human Behaviour, High Reliability Organizations (HRO), Learning from the past in seven case studies, four of which are from the ‘public domain’ (such as the Piper-A incident, the Nypro incident at Flixborough, the Texas City Refinery incident in Houston, etc.), and three should be from your own company experience, or selected by the Class. Special attention is given to formulate a proposal from an issue, and subsequently to present this proposal to Senior Management.

Trainer has over 39 years experience in the Oil & Gas Industry . He has worked for Oil & Gas Operating Companies in a variety of locations such as: Malaysia Brunei, NAM, Middle East .


He has held roles as an Offshore Installation Manager during the implementation of items from the Cullen report 1991. He has participated in a wide spectrum of projects including Production Programming & Planning and the delivery courses on surface production and sub-surface operations. He offers to inject the course with extensive and unique experiences.
